Church Growth
Since Fr. Jos started his ministry at Christ Church, the church has seen explosive growth, the first in its history and a national record indeed when compared to his time in this church.
Fr. Jos says: "Growth happens as a result of the workings of the Holy Spirit blessing the right leadership with the right people at the right time " Fr. Jos continues saying church grows because:
- Priest/Leader and people together recognize the movements of the Holy Spirit within and in a particular community as was in the days of the Acts of the Apostles.
- People and priest open their hearts for God to come through and manifest making life changing transformation within.
- People and priest invite their friends to share their powerful new experience.
- Priest/leader and people continully listen to God before he/she speaks to people.
- Priest/leader empowers peoples gifts.
- Priest/leader shares and challenges the community to the joy and pain of growing together
According to him "A growing church is like a young couple dating, getting married, pregnant and giving birth to their baby. It is a joyful, painful, exciting experience and comes with awesome responsibility but delightful days ahead".
Church grows because of mutual, caring and loving ministry of people and the priest.
Let us grow it together!
